Artwork Description

You died.
You cried.
I brought you flowers.

Flowers are void of utilitarian purpose.
At first introduction, seemingly useless.
For humans, their use goes beyond the physical body, deep into our souls.
They feed and nourish our hearts 💕

Why is it that flowers are gifted for both moments of celebration & grief?
Is it because their beauty speaks to our spirit?

They lift us up into a realm of serenity.
Flowers fill in the blanks, when we don’t know what to say.
When words are not enough, beauty steps in.
When pain is unbearable, beauty offers distraction.
When grief is suffocating, flowers offer a wraparound hug.

They’re here today, and tomorrow they fade, but this practice of gifting flowers will span a time far beyond a lifetime.
