Artwork Description

These are a semi-abstract series of artworks that are inspired by the waters of Southeast Asia. Many of these artworks contain patterns of blue & white porcelain, a reminder that these are Southeast Asian waters, where Singapore is located. 

Like abstract artworks, they are made up of layers of mark-making. Palette knives are used to  slab on layers of thicker paint, wet ink runs and merges together to form watery textures. The paint is left to be free, as it dries and settles in its own way on the canvas. Surprising results can be seen, making each piece unique. 

These are not purely abstract works. If you look closer at the various layers you will see coral, old maps, batik patterns, fish scales and other elements that speak of the sea & life under the ocean. The shades of blue bring a calm cooling effect into the interior.

这是一系列受东南亚海域启发的半抽象作品。许多作品中融入了绿色花瓷图案，提醒观者这些正是新加坡所在的东南亚水域。

如同抽象画一般，这些作品由多层笔触堆叠而成。使用调色刀厚涂油彩，湿墨流淌交融，形成水感质地。颜料自由干涸，随着在画布上的沉淀，自然呈现意想不到的效果，使每件作品独一无二。

这些作品并非完全抽象。仔细观察各层纹理，你会发现珊瑚、古地图、蜡染图案、鱼鳞以及其他代表海洋与水下生命的元素。多重蓝色的层次为室内营造出清凉、沉静的气息。

Shipping & Delivery

For local orders, delivery and installation is complimentary.

For international orders, canvas artworks will be taken off the frame and delivered rolled up in a sturdy cardboard tube. Framing instructions will be included, which can be taken to any framer.
Delivery via DHL is complimentary.
