Artwork Description

Like a meandering dream that wanders between different times and places as your subconscious tries to navigate and make sense of the day, meandering lines flow through the composition of this artwork. This piece is inspired by traditional Chinese landscape paintings, however, just as you would find in a dream, there are unexpected images juxtaposed together. Tropical South East Asian palm trees sway in the breeze, while majestic mountains from the Far East float in the clouds.

Working with Chinese ink, black has been chosen as the primary colour. This is a reflection of different  seasons we go through in life, some of which can be dark, confusing and filled with painful emotions. However the entire base layer of this artwork has been created with blocks of silver leaf, which shimmer and shine. This brings new life to the black ink, reminding one, that beyond the dark times there is always a light, there is always a hope to reach out to.

宛如一场蜿蜒的梦，在时光与空间之间穿梭；当潜意识试图梳理白日的纷扰，蜿蜒的线条在画作中自由流淌。

此作汲取传统中国山水画的灵感。如同梦境般，意想不到的画面元素被奇妙地并置在一起。东南亚热带棕榈随微风轻舞，与远方巍峨漂浮于云雾之间的群山，虚实交融。

作品以黑色为主要色调，借中国水墨来表现人生不同阶段的体验——有些日子或许充满幽暗、迷茫，痛苦与困惑。然而，画作底层铺以银箔块，闪烁光辉，为黑墨注入生机。这提醒我们：在黑暗的时刻，总有光明，总有可以伸手触及的希望。
